ABOUT WATERPROOFING WORX

Waterproofing is essentially the first protection a building can receive. It starts with the roof, and continues into the walls, floors etc. Damp proofing is however, a different type of water and moisture ingress, emanating from the floors – Rising & lateral damp.

Tiled balconies too have serious implications due to water ingress.

Over time, many different types of waterproofing systems have been applied to roofs, including

  • 3-4mm thick torch-on Bitumen waterproofing systems
  • Liquid acrylic systems
  • Liquid Bitumen systems
  • Malthoid
  • Etc

Waterproofing Worx uses a combination of systems, namely:

  • 4mm torch on system
  • Liquid Polyurethane waterproofing
  • Clear Polyurethane systems for overcoating of tiled balconies

Each system has their own advantages:

  • Torch-on is trafficable to foot traffic and carries a 10 year guarantee
  • Liquid Polyurethane comes in different colours, can be applied on vertical surface and CAN BE APPLIED OVER BITUMEN. A critical characteristic
  • Clear Polyurethane coating allows waterproofing directly over tiled areas, so the nuisance and expense of lifting them is negated.
